Freebies!!

With the recent snows C.L. has been rampant w free blowers. Many admit to just plugged carb. Unfortunately my trailer is put away for Winter. I'm sure there will be plenty more come Spring for future projects.

Ventilated blocks due to a blown connecting rods are the main reason for the free snowblower. Although if your lucky it may just be a plugged carburetor. Thankfully Predator 212cc engines for $99.99 can get those blown connecting rod snowblowers up and running cheaply especially if they are single PTO shaft engines.

The same around here in spite of this being a very mild winter as far as snowfall goes. Asking prices generally are unrealistic, although I did find one that I bought.

That Burnsville listing for two Ariens 22,000 series fixer uppers for $100 is tempting even at my distance (200 miles give or take). Pretty clean looking, look to be mid 70's. The freebie section has a Toro owner with a handful of blowers that "will need repair" too.

I'm gonna look at a 22k series tomorrow locally, "seems to have no spark, make offer". I want the bucket mostly more than anything. Hoping I can show him $25 cash and drive away with it whole and fix it up cheap.

1974 Ariens 922008/922003 "Frankenstein", my dad's 1st new snowblower
1971 Ariens 922002/922003 "The Badger", recent addition, ready for snow
1971 Ariens 922002/922003 "Juneau", finally ready for snow
1971 Ariens 910962/910995 "Bill", SOLD 3/7/2019

That's good for the folks here that are selling! With how little snow we've had, I wouldn't have expected that.

I got lucky and snagged a deal on a machine that I guess the owners just wanted to get rid of. It's nice when you can find a great deal even mid-season.

guzzijohn, I hope you can find something that makes it worth getting the trailer out!

No more this Winter. Trailer is stuck in fenced backyard w 3 feet of snow. I sold 4/20 tracker and '68 Ariens last week for $100 each. Went to two nice ladies. I'm happy as both were freebies.
