Hi all, I have recently acquired a Kubota snowblower a 6 24,. Has anyone ever heard tell of them making a "regular snowblower".? Not a tractor attachment

I'm guessing you must be in Canada? Is it a K624? The thinking seems to be that's a Kubota engine on an MTD body. Here's a discussion on them: https://www.snowblowerforum.com/foru...ind-built.html

They do have them in Japan, but they appear to be larger units these days... They did make smaller ones in the past.

Garage
My employer is right next to a Kubota dealer and I have never seen a standalone snowblower machine there.

My father had one. It was simply a MTD with a Kubota GS200 motor. I kept the motor for my rototiler to replace the B&S engine. This is a **** good motor. It start easily at the first pull, don't make too much noise and don't take any oil. Trouble free motor.

Yes I am in Canada , Thanks for the info, it must be the Kubota engine on the MTD body, it's definitely not like the one in the link you shared. I will attach a photo of mine, currently apart so I can replace the belts.

Thanks for the info,. I was impressed with how easy it had started after being stored for a few years, a couple pulls and she fired right up. Mine is def the Kubota engine on the MTD body
