Auto engine filters changing!!!

They are making engine air filters like cabin filters now!!!

Getting rid of rubber gasket style.

Do you think that is due to cost or efficiency????

Cost. These filters have been the standard in Toyota and other vehicles for at least 20 years, probably longer. Not sure about north american cars, as I gave up on those in 1994. They know how to charge for those filters too. I have scrapped the standard Toyota filters and use K&N washable filters on my car(s). They are about 75 bucks canadian to buy but they can be washed, and reoiled and used for the life of the car,

Work fascinates me.
I can watch somebody work for hours...
