Best Time To Sell in Maine

I'm putting the old MTD Frankenblower on the market and am wondering when is the best time to do so. Now (August)? Or, wait until after Labor Day.

Current Machines:
2015 Ariens Deluxe 28
1995 Yard-White-Bilt (An MTD Yard Machines 8/26 with a "dashboard" and deflector control from a White Outdoor tracked blower and a longer crank handle from a Troy-Bilt)

Garage
from what i have seen a small number of people are looking now but it ramps up after Labor Day. I used to wait until it started snowing but if it don't start snowing?.......

more and more people are looking in fall because of the recent big winters out here. good luck,

I usually get a lot of sales on my nicer blowers around October, Before the snow starts many want to be prepared, then after it starts snowing Iíll post the rest and everyone in a panic tries to buy one.

Sno-Tek Modded, 15"X-Track tires (Now has same X-Track tires but 13"x4" for better fit), 254cc engine LED light and hand warmers.
Snapper 6/22 sold but not forgotten. Was my first.
Ariens ST1027LE workhorse and going strong.
New 2017 Ariens Deluxe completely rebuilt after losing a fight with a forklift.

Agree mid September on. Need a bit of chill in air to get people thinking of snow removal.

OVERPOWERED is usually Adequate

being a frakenblower hard to say if it may be one of them machines that sells for a reasonable price between now and the first snowfall or not. i have a feeling something like that might sell closer to winter unless you are letting it go cheap. most people only jump on deals before the first snowfall if it was a super good deal or if you list it too soon you got to deal with all the idiots that want to low ball you because it is not a great time of year to sell and think they should get it cheaper. i know i had a machine listed for a more than fair price and people seemed to think offering less and offering to pickup immediately would make me want to let it go for less.

I'm not selling machines but I do have my finger on the pulse of activity. I wouldn't try too hard until Columbus day, not expect much until after Halloween and don't drop any prices until you get hit with a few good storms.

If the prior winter was a rough one, people will get interested sooner.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I really appreciate it. I'm not trying to get top dollar for it, but don't want to give away either. I just need it gone by the time I reconfigure my garage for winter operations.

Craigslist works best out here. I also use Nextdoor.com and Facebook marketplace but most people who respond on those sites are lookie-loos or lowballers. I continue with ads on them because some do buy.
