Gotta be kidding! We're still running A/C! Was 95° F two days ago, mid eighties today.

Hmmmm......so let me get this straight, my former "neighbor".....
You left Weymouth to go live in a place that snows in mid September ????????? .

Dust or dump? When I lived in Incline even --I-- could tell the difference.

Meanwhile, I saw snow in June there some years and snow in September some years. My first drive over Mt Rose highway in August had me gazing up in wonder at the 20' tall snow stakes marking the shoulders. Who were they trying to impress? Of course I'd lived in Mammoth Lakes for a few years by then, and was used to digging down to the third-story deck to get in and out. Looked a lot like your "need pictures of snow?" looking out from the third-floor door.

---

Cold drizzles today east of Mt Bachelor, with snow levels reported to be less than 8000'. Rain here at 4000' and 50º, so summer has pretty much gone south. I don't dare pull out any winter stuff yet, according to she-who-must-be-listened-to. Picked apples yesterday. It's coming. I can feel it.

New Husqy ST227P for 2014-15 snow season.

I love my snowblower. Every beat of it's little heart is one mine won't have to take.

I get that fall is approaching. It's the middle of September. SOME trees are starting to change leaf color and even dropping some leaves. But snow? Say it ain't so!

Winter is coming. There was a young fella waking to school this morning wearing a toque and shorts.

Looked at the extended forecast this morning, just to get a hint about today's rain. Golly Gosh gee whiz if there isn't a snowflake in the little phone weather display for next Friday. Caused a panic on mrs dr bob's side of the bed -- gotta get the tomatoes covered to keep them from freezing! If I don't like the forecast I can just wait a few hours though. Frostcloth frames added to the project list regardless.

I still need to replace the steering shaft on the Husky before we get anything serious. Not doing it of course means a dump is coming soon.
