Lastest find

I'm still working on painting my snapper snowblower, but I just couldn't pass this up. I got it for $80, It runs and the auger engages but there is a problem with the drive system. The guy I got it from said it was an issue with the linkage.

Thank you. I cannot believe how well built this thing is, it must weigh 250 pounds. It is a Gard-N-Yard which means it is either a 1963 or 1964.

Wow, thats a nice find!
The only way to tell if its a '63 or a '64 is from the Tecumseh date code..
I can see in your photos that the engine data tag is still in place, on the side of the engine..please post all the model and serial numbers on that tag..

Scot

Good Score! The Quality of the Old Ariens is Second to None. I was getting parts Yesterday, and couldn't help but notice how Cheap the New Machines are compared to the Older Ones. Just the State of Manufacturing These Days, I Guess.

Wow! Sweet find and an easy fix I'm sure. Your gonna love that old girl. Those old H60's sound like a mini stock car.

What did you replace in the drive?

The rubber friction disc on my dads '67 is cracked. Looks like a real PIA to replace. Still works...just jinxed myself.
