Spark plug

I have a 5hp Tecumseh HSK50. I'm tuning it up now. I'm putting a new carb on it and changing the plug. What spark plug do you guys use in your machines. It currently has a Champion plug in it. I want something better

I had a 7 H.P. Tecumseh that was 18 years old. Had a Champion plug that I never did change. They're fine.

Champions were always the normal plug brand to use in just about everything. I have heard stories about the poor quality of current manufacture Champions and people switching to the NGK B2LM as a direct replacement for the J19LM plug you have now. For the $2 to $4 cost, it is cheap insurance for winter reliability.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
