altitude set up

Hello, I'm looking for some advice. I'm buying an Ariens with the 420 cc engine, it'll be used at an altitude of 6500 feet. Do I need to do anything to set it up right for that altitude? Thanks!

Is this new, and are you buying it from a dealer?

Garage:
MTD....2 stage(modern 8.5 HP) not my favorite
Honda HS622 TA-B - acquired at an auction- nice machine for it's size.
Toro S-140- Picked it up on trash day... it runs, sort of.
Yamaha YS 240 TB "Ricky" latest Craigslist find- on the bench now.

Still shopping dealers. I inquired from a mail order dealer and they said no adjustment was necessary but I'm sceptical.

Higher altitude means you will need even less fuel so if anything the engine will be running a bit richer and thats better than too lean. Temperature also affects jetting. Colder it is the richer the jetting needs to be. You will be fine with the stock sea level jetting because if anything it will run slightly richer at your elevation.
