Gilson 55012 gear drive is ON DECK

time for a change from Tecumseh powered machines. today I backed the Gilson 55012 out from under the deck, bolted on the airbox and throttle rod knob, moved the Nova II box down onto the governor plate. turned the fuel on, gave it half throttle, was pulling it slowly to prime it, the darn thing rolled over and fired up without even pulling the cord hard- it started while pulling it slowly to prime ! WOW !! I love these old Briggs and their carbs too. they are more reliable and resistant to getting clogged up and start easier, period !

moved it to the back of the house against the basement wall, she's ready for the next snow. hopefully it will be a real snow and not another 40 degree Carolinas soutern rainstorm posing as snow.

give me the ice cold polar wind from Canada and the North Pole !! I'm ready...

shifting this rig, and turning it, and backing it up, is like taking the Bismarck out to sea....

just say NO to Chinese made ANYTHING !
