jacobsen imperial 6/26

hi everyone, new to this site from n.j. but not new to snowblowers. my most recent purchase was a jacobsen imperial 626 from around 1970 i believe. i already dissasembled the tractor part to inspect for wear .i found the drive disc shot, drive gear bushing worn, and axle bearings worn. i havent gotten to the blower as of yet,but was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether or not i should fix it or part it out. seems parts are very scarce for these machines, but if i do fix it i was going to replace the engine with a 2004 briggs and stratton 6 hp ohv with electric start to make it more user friendly.also in my "collection " is a artic cat 8 26 from 1973? and a simplicity snowbuster 5/24 from 1970.any thoughts, suggestions, etc more then welcome
