I dont think you can go wrong with either. If you are on ice it wont make a difference neither will grab. Kenda maybe a little more aggressive in snow. My friend got the Carlisle sno-hogs about a month back and just used them first time saturday he says they do fine and is happy with them. For the money they are decent.

The meltdown is under way ...

I just put on a set of carlise x-tracs, will see their first use tomorrow so can give more feedback then. Love the way they look though and no more chains. Btw, Summit racing is the cheapest I've found when it comes to tires.

I bought the Carlisles from Summit. I always liked Summit for their customer support..I am looking forward to putting them on my Compact 22..It had 13's on it and I am putting 15x5.0x6 on it..Ariens said it would do real well with the bigger tires, and I don't have to buy new wheels!

Ray, you will be very pleased with the X-Tracs. And I think you made the correct move by picking them over the Snow Hogs. The Snow Hogs make the machine hop because of the way their tread design is. The X-Tracs turn smooth.

Yep, x-tracs rule the school! Just got done with 3 driveways and it's like a different machine traction wise. Love them!!
