New to site

Hi everyone. I've checked this site out numerous times, finally joined today. I've had around 13 machines over the years. 2 toro 8/26s '79&'80. Sold the '79 after rebuild and paint job. Ran the '80 for 5 years, new carb and a valve job. It's still in service with my cousin. First one was my dads '72 8/32. Clutches gave out, we got rid of it 12 years ago if I had it now I'd fix it.
Now I have 2 toros, an '86 11/32 and '84 5/21. I pinned the wheels on the 32 since the clutches were slipping. Might do an impeller kit. It runs great and is in awesome shape. The '84 I put a carb and fuel line on. Got for free from my old hs shop teacher had new belts already. That one was surpring how strong it is. Had a good test for them this year

Welcome from the Keystone state. Nice machines. Lots of Toro fans here. I've owned a bunch them myself. Still own a 521. Great machine.

Welcome to the forum Joe. You did not mention what state you are in but for many of us there is more snow on the way tomorrow . This winter had been a slow start in the northeast but we seem to be in full swing now

The meltdown is under way ...

I'm in central Massachusetts. I like the older toros, I think 87 was the last year before they went to power shift. I had an Mtd for years, 94 I think I added all kinds of reinforcements on that machine, it eventually developed stress cracks in the steel case under the engine. Did a gearbox on that one too
