Ariens shute problems

I have a Ariens 8526,the shute seems loose, and likes to turn on its own sometimes.also the deflector doesn't stay put.if I put it in a certain position,it moves up and the snow shoots a lot higher, then the wind blows it back right on me and my drive way that I already did.just wondering if the cable needs to adjusted, or replaced.
