Glad I got this Sno-Tek

This is my 3rd winter in our new house. When we moved here our neighbor had a snow blower and he took care of our snow issues. He moved last summer and I knew I had to get one for myself now.

I bought a Sno-Tek 28"

So far so good. As this is for my personal driveway, I'm sure with regular maintenance this machine will perform perfectly for my needs.

Unlike the other winters since I moved to this address, we are not melting in between snow falls so it is mounting up, we've had about 2 feet here in Rhode Island this year and my Sno-Tek has been has worked great.

A couple of snow clearing sessions ago while I was running the machine, it picked up a newspaper that was wrapped in a plastic bag, it stopped the machine dead when it got into the 2nd stage auger. I pulled the machine back into the garage, pulled the spark plug, tilted it back on the handles, tapped the auger with a soft face mallet just enough to work the paper out of it, restarted the machine and finished the job.

As I said the 28" Sno-Tek is working great.

The Snow Tek is more machine than most people think (being that it's a discount line and all)...It is a shame that they discontinued the 28".

Smart operator. Kudos for thinking remove the spark plug, so many would not bother but so much safer to do it and it takes only a minute. Nice machine too.

The meltdown is under way ...
