another 3" powder snow=another Unitrol, Snowbird meal

this is getting to be a regular late winter 2015 routine...
powder snow 3"
Snowbird eats up the driveway
Unitrol does my Mom's driveway

but this time I did sneak out the big Craftsman 10/32 Drift Breaker and made a few passes just to test it out... could not resist

on the downside, the Snowbird lost the impeller roll pin, just as I finished. well actually, it had a jury rigged roll pin that previous owner/someone put a small screw/nut through to help hold it in place. that fell out and got lost. so I put in a long bolt with a self locking nut

it broke again almost instantly....when I cleared a path to the shed with the machine

so now I have to get the little broken piece out of the impeller shaft with a drift and hammer, and replace it with a grade 8 bolt and locking nut I just bought from the hardware store...

pesky little bugger....again...
machine repair inc. - hey, and somebody's gotta do it....

just say NO to Chinese made ANYTHING !
