Comparing 2 Snow Blowers

I am getting closer to buy my first blower and have 2 on the short list, but there is a $550 dollar difference. Any opinions or points regarding the two show below. Link is HD Canada and prices are in Canadian dollars. I believe Arien makes the Sno-Tek model shown. Thanks.

The Ariens Compact is a better made blower and would last longer, the Sno-Tek although made by Ariens is a lower quality blower compared to the Compact.
Features seem to be about the same except that the Compact has larger tires which will give you better traction.
IMHO it really comes down to your budget, you'll be fine with either one, but I think the Ariens would last longer.

My vote is the Ariens as well. You'll appreciate the bigger tires too!

Personally I would also look at the Ariens Deluxe 24 and the Toro 826 these machines will give you more power and are within the price range of the Ariens Compact. you are going to own this snowblower for a long time and you don't want to feel like you bought something that was underpowered. Regarding the two that you are currently comparing the Ariens Compact includes a much needed headlight. Best of luck on your search.

Ariens Platinum 24 SHO w/369cc carbureted LCT motor
