Question jacobsen snowjet 360/jacobsen321 engine

Hello everyone! I have a 1962 jacobsen snowjet 360 with, it says as a 3 1/2 jacobsen 321 engine, that i think needs a new carb. I have to use starting fluid everytime to start it. It does start but seems to run ruff. All I can find out about it is, serial #96Aso, item #4182, engine#108883.It calls for a chapion spark plug #J-17-LM, which seams to be hard to find. I should add, it sat in a old building for a unknown number of years. I did get it running and have used it for a few years but it is stsrting to run bad. I'm attached to it because we are the same age. Thank you all in advance.

to SBF Jacob. Here is a link to the service manual, if you don't already have it.

I had a few Snowburst blowers in the 1980's and remember they were temperamental back then when newer.

It looks like the correct spark plug is Champion RJ-12.

Toro 8/24 (38080) 1989
Toro 421-QZE (38585) 2008

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
