Last time i've done that, I squeezed the shaft in a vice and took a big metal pipe I inserted between the blades to turn the fan on the shaft. I turned it on the shaft with little penetrating oil until it was easy to take it out with a plastic hammer. I was surprized how it was easy to do it like that. The tougher thing was squeezing the shaft in the vice with auger still attached on it.

Removing the roll pins is easy, no problem there. It is the impeller itself that is hard to remove from the shaft. This was done after the machine was 2 years old and the impeller shaft seal at the gearbox was replaced by my dealer. Then after a further 2 years I did the impeller shaft seal to gearbox replacement again and put on the 6 blade impeller. Just corrosion holding the impeller to the shaft after the roll pins are removed.

The part number for the 6 bladed impeller is the same as the one listed in the link you provided. In talking to my dealer the 6 bladed impeller was stock on the 926501 (1336). Mine was ordered through my Ariens dealer (CAD$177) in spring 2018 but was built in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and was not in a box. Getting the old impeller off is quite the challenge. Putting the new 6 blade impeller on is easy, it fits perfectly but sits just a little more forward toward the auger, so it fits the chute opening better. It is also slightly larger in diameter so the gap to the housing is less. Each blade has a larger surface area. Check your engine speed as 3,600 +/- 100 rpm for best results.

Check rear gearbox seal since replacement is easy when doing the impeller replacement.

Ariens plastic skid shoes are excellent, much better than Ariens steel ones.
