You responded that you liked my post on brining. If you want to try it, I'll send you my brine recipe. It's basically kosher salt or pickling salt, water, sugar, then spices, Italian, Middle East, Cajun, Lemon. The turkey or chicken or turkey becomes very moist, juices just run out.

I meant to get back with you long ago. I tried the brine on a turkey and followed an online set of directions. Keeping it in ice water, Etc. It turned out really good. Hopefully I'll do another one this Thanksgiving.

Joe, I'm terrible at this forum stuff. Most times I read and never log in. Sorry so late to reply, but that's great news.
    Regards, JT.

    Hey Joe,
Howdy right back at you. Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I've not been on the forum in a while. I got "downsized" out of my job back in March, when they cut half of my department. I was pretty devastated for a bit, but a consulting job kind of dropped in my lap and it's turning out to be OK. Working from home for the most part etc.etc.
I was thinking of you and your HDPE skids today after I saw a YouTube video by this young guy who makes his own HDPE sheets by recycling the lids off of milk jugs and the like. That's why I signed back into the forum and saw your messages.

He can make the sheets or blocks as thick as he wants with zero special equipment. He makes it look pretty easy, but I think if I were going to try it, I'd make sure the wife wasn't going to be home before I used her oven. =-)
Take good care Joe and have a great summer.
    Warm regards,
    Larry
