    I have basically the same machine - one thing to be aware of is the controls are "reversed" from today's controls - you squeeze the handles to dis-engage and release to engage, not a big deal if you know about it but it can be a surprise initially
    the bucket comes off with 2 bolts on the sides and then you "flex" it to disengage it.
    there are two levers to engage the engine. the forward lever engages the auger, the after lever engages the engine - leave the engine disengaged when engaging the auger, the auger mechanism is pretty simple, just a bar that fits into a slot-if there's too much old grease on it, the auger slips.
    the cast iron gear box is pretty simple too, just check the oil/grease level and use the right grease to replace it.
    have fun with it - they're great machines and unstoppable when used with chains...
