Any old Ariens restorers here?

Hello all. Ive seen some storys on some amazing restos specifically Ariens. The reason for my post is I have and older 1969-70 tractor 10962/thrower 10995 (I think from my research) that I need to pass along. Sure I can throw it on Craigslist for a few bucks but...well I am the second owner having it for 34 yrs. and actually care about the thing lol, been thru a lot of North Jersey winters together but I'm retiring down South. It runs, does what its supposed to do, is clunky just not as powerful as the newer blowers but sorry not orifinal engine. that, of course, blew up the second time I used it many yrs ago and has the Tecumsuh Sno King. Any serious guys who want to do a restore and has a history of doing so would be in contention to take it free. She's rough and old but gets my respect. Want to talk here?.....

Welcome to SBF, Oldhammer. That is a generous offer and there are quite a few old Ariens collectors here that would probably be interested.

Congratulations on the retirement approaching. Having six Saturdays a week is awesome. Good luck.

Thanks for your generous offer......most members are off for the summer from SBF so the traffic is sparse lately. Those older 10000 series machines don't sell well up in Massachusetts the last few years, but they are still great machines. I hope someone takes you up on saving the old girl!

to SBF Oldhammer

You might want to add a location to your profile so we have an idea of where it is. There have been some great deals that just slip away because the person who's looking just isn't anywhere near where a machine, engine or attachment is located.
You should also post it in our classifieds (free) with a couple photos.

I originally asked and then deleted the request for location after re-reading the post and seen "North Jersey" in the post.
