Anyone here have any positive experience with Armour Skids/Shoes? I bought a ST28LE with Auto turn, although I am not totally happy with the Auto turn. I have heard that Armour Skids make a big improvement? Is this true? I want to order, but I live in Canada, and with exchange, they are about $80 delivered. I just want to make sure they won't be bookends in my basement.:surprise:

I couldn' t seem to find the instructions at the top of the page, maybe I am just not looking in the right place. However, I did readjust my blower to the video on You-Tube, done by an Ariens Tech. Don't get me wrong, the Auto-Turn isn't horrible like some stories I have read, I would just like to fine tune it a bit to see if I can make it better. And the Armour skids look pretty cool.

I have used the Armor Skids on an Ariens Platinum and Hyro Pro, both with the Auto-Turn. Makes a huge difference in the steering and tracking of the unit. I never had major problems with the Auto-Turn, but appreciated what the Armor Skids added. What I didn't appreciate was how much easier the bucket floated and it was a constant fight to keep it down. They are basically like skis, and skis ride on top of the snow, not through it.
