Finally picked up my Deluxe 24 the other day. :wavetowel2:
I know I was warned but got it from Lowe's as it was the most convenient and the best deal but wow I cant believe (Wait, I can) how lazy they are putting them together. They didn't even tighten down the two nuts for the speed selection connecting arm so I went through and made sure all of the nuts and bolts were tight. It also looks like they cross threaded the cover bolt for the spout rotate gear. But thats minor to me, just annoying.
Adjusted the skids for my driveway gave it a once look over, put in some gas and gave it a start, got love the burn off on the muffler :dizzy:. Such a beautiful machine and the mass of it is amazing compared to the rusting 22" MTD that was found on the side of the road that I used last year. I love how compact the engine is, but filling the gas tank with that filter thing has something to be wanting with the gas can I have but the large gas cap is great.
Cant wait for the first good snow to take out some neighbor windows, its not far away, it was snowing to my north about 30min away this past weekend. While its the newest version XXXXX5 ill have to wait and see if I need to do any adjusting for the auto-turn, but so far it felt ok just dragging along the driveway surface with the standard metal skids.
Now to get the wife trained on how to start it and run it. Shes not a fan of things that can chew off your arm.
