I’ve got a older little Snapper single stage and it’s got a chunk (about the side of 3 packs of cigs) of missing plastic, just above where the missing scraper bar should be.
Any suggestions for a safe repair??
Riveting is a good idea as trying to glue or bond something plastic in there would likely be too brittle when it's really cold.
Or keep your eyes open for a parts machine with a blown motor for cheap or free.
I ended up “creating” a liner for the bucket out of a tall kitchen wastebasket. Screwed it in with truss headed screws and then thru- bolted on a new scraper bar.
Looks pretty good- I’ll report back once it sees some snow.
Thanks for the suggestions!
