I thought I would now like to join the forum as just I bought a new to me old Simplicity Snow blower. I don't know how old it is but suspect its about a i970. It seems to be in fairly good shape and I'm quite impressed that the motor starts on the first pull. It needs some going over and I noticed already that its missing a few nuts and bolts and some are loose.
I have been reading on this forum and hope to be posting. Any comments/questions on my machine are welcome.

Welcome to the forum Al :D

It's new to you so I'd do an oil change, new plug and fuel filter before it gets cold even though it's a one pull start now you want to make sure it still is at twenty below.
I'd pull the belt cover and make sure it (they) look good and lube anything that moves, slides or pivots. I'd pull the pins on the wheels and make sure they are free on the axle and put some grease in there before bolting then back on. Nothing worse than having a tire problem and not being able to get the wheel off !! Well other than needing to get the auger(s) off and finding out it's seized to the shaft. Would be good to check/lube the augers too.
