Hey I've got two (hopefully) quick questions about the wheel drive plate on a 924 series Ariens.
1) The bearings that carry the drive plate shaft (#10 in the attached diagram) - do they just press into the carrier? I couldn't see any other means of attachment but would love to hear from someone who's "been there and done that" before I try to press them out and break something.
2) Is it normal for the drive plate to have a little runout? I've got two of these assemblies and both plates "wobble" a little as they rotate. I haven't measured the runout but it's maybe 0.050" at the edge? I'm wondering if that's normal or if I just have two bad ones. I'm also curious if it can be fixed with a little creative hammering...
