I used the soldering method on a car window regulator that had a cable brake and so far so good. On a lawnmower I took a nut/bolt and drilled a hole through the bolt similar to how bike brakes are set up and did it that way. PS: new metal cable is available at Home Depot for like 27 cents per foot. You just have to cut one end to get it out of the sheath. Beats paying $20 for a new cable if trying to be cheap. |

clutch cable repair the metal tip broke off the thin clutch cable on my murray this is the cable that goes from the handle to the adjuster plate anyone has any ideas for a fix i don't own a welder thanks,john |
