Predator 212 surging

Hello all. I replaced the main jet on my new Hemi version 212 with a .032 jet. I changed the spark plug to a NGK BPR-6ES, gapped it to .030 and removed the air filter. It starts but surges and only runs with the choke 3/4 closed near idle. When I open it full throttle with the choke 3/4 closed, it smooths out a little, but still surges a bit. I checked the plug and it is a little dark but no soot. If any one has on this issue it will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to jet it to .034, the .032 is still to lean for cold weather.

Garage
I just went through this with mine. Ended up removing the gas tank to access the governor adjustment. I moved the end of the spring one hole over to put a little more tension on the spring and this cured it.

A .032 jet should be OK. I opened mine to that and checking it with my emissions analyzer showed it to be running at 4% CO, which is good for power.

Some members report surging issues with their Predators in colder temps. Others suggest no such issues. I'm wondering how universal this problem is on these Honda clones. Are there other conditions, perhaps, that might explain the differences in performance?
