Toro 521 Chute handle alternative modification

Greetings one and all.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who has taken this route, but I wanted to share how I overcame the issue of how the Predator 212 valve cover interferes with the chute control rod on the Toro 521, and similar machines, with others who perhaps are considering re-powering their 521 as well.

Basically, instead of moving the chute control bracket out to the side as is commonly done, I moved it up, this in effect brings the chute control much closer to the machine, instead of hanging out there. This was with the non-hemi version motor.

Clever, and the secondary bracket/bolt is nice touch.

Those 521's are just the cutest things....with that predator it will eat snow like a bear I'll bet.
