Briggs repower question.

Hello to all,

I see that the HF Predator 212 is the engine of choice for repowers. I have a 1991 model MTD 5/24 track machine with the Tecumseh dual shaft engine that is low on power and ready for a upgrade. I've had this machine since new and taken very good care of it and love the tracks. I'm not interested in spending the $$ for a new tracked machine.

So my question is has anyone on this site repowered with the B&S dual shaft 11.5tq winter engine ? And if so any issues?

There is a 7 hp dual-shaft Tecumseh engine available on Albany NY Craigslist for $75. It is not mine and I have no knowledge of it !
