when i first bought the machine, the 12 was history, there was a 10hp on it blowing oil thru pcv tube like crazy..so the spare 8 hp i got with the deal is gonna go on it.Im gonna make it 9hp by setting rpm to 3600. the 8hp comes with 3250 or 3450 rpm, mtd runs a tecumseh 9hp by boostin rpm to 3600.

Both 8 and 9hp motors have 318cc, different rpm/ hp output.

Ok I finished the engine swap today, redone fuel line, changed clutch wheel, auger belt, added shims to wheel shaft, fixed flat tire, made a belt cover, fixed impeller kit, added fuel valve, greased from a to z...

Seems like the 8hp gonna be ok to work biggie, I only noticed slight difference compare to the 10hp.
