Ariens 824 with Predator 212 Hemi

Just got done building it. Starts on the 1st pull and sounds great. Max. RPM out of the box was 3815. Brought it down to 3600RPM.

New XTRAC tires and DIY impeller kit (3/8" conveyor belt). Ran it with the auger engaged, so the rubber paddles are now all set.

Going to put it to use later today/tomorrow.

Did you re-jet the carb?

Not yet. I bought an adjustable high-speed needle kit w/ jet but haven't installed it yet. It runs so good I may just leave it alone.

Here's the impeller kit. It definitely is wiping the housing clean now.

Nice job, you should be able to pile snow onto the neighbors drive. Any issues in the past with carb ice, or do these engines get enough heat?

Talking

Two pull Start, I have not did any jetting to mine and it runs fine with air filter still in place.
2 pulls starts every time even at 10 above zero. Also no carb icing either.

Nice! I may be re-powering a 824 soon.... so I'm looking for clues.

What are the parts you used to make the oil drain extension?
Do you have any links to what you bought? Or did you make them?

Also, was the engine a straight drop in?
What parts (if any) did you need to buy to fit the Predator?
