Vintage toro. Don't think I will flip this one.

I recently picked up this 1979 toro 724. I always forget how big these ones are.

I don't think it has seen much use (even though it has a hole in the block) since the idler pulleys still have red paint where the belts ride.

It really is in great condition check the pics and I haven't cleaned it yet.

Going to pic up a 8hp motor for it and see how it does.

that is one clean looking early toro 724, i would put a motor on it also

WWow this machine is new. Those chains are hardly scratched. Can't find good used units here like that! Great buy! Have fun with that!

thats late 80s/ early 90s, toro didnt start using those tires until the late 80s

I didn't think so either. They must have been changed.
Toro model number 38050 serial number 9006171
Tecumseh motor h70-130176d

Originally it probably had the hard semi-pneumatic block style tires

The overall engine layout, and the shape of the Tecumseh heater box, is definately saying "70's" to me.

this is a strange one. the machine looks like it was never used yet they put newer tires on it and blew the engine.
