Simplicity 870 Impeller replacement?

My dad is saying the impeller needs to be replaced. He has the replacement part and I'm looking at it how I would disassemble the machine but can't figure it out.

This job seems like it would be relatively difficult?

Has anyone replaced and impeller? is it a common replacement?

He says it's rusted out and not strong ...

I have many older machines that run great, never did I have to change an impeller.

I have removed my fair share on disassembling some. Depending on the model, you would usually separate the bucket from the main housing, then remove the belt pully on some, and then remove the side auger carriers, and slide out the impeller/auger assembly.

I am wondering if maybe it got bent, or sheared a roll pin, many have 2 holding the impeller on the shaft. Some are going to be rust welded on also.

Real hard to tell without looking at it.

Make sure your oxy torch setup is full. Don't start this repair by saying, "honey have you seen my acetylene tank somewhere"?

Of course it's easy to disassemble a new snowblower. The removal sometimes requires swearing and the like.
