Simplicity 960e value

I am the original owner of a 2004 960e(large frame 9hp). It was $1300 new and has only been used a few times a yr since I bought it. It runs great and is in excellent condition. No rust, dents, leaks,... I am thinking about selling it and getting a SS(Toro 721) as it is just too big for my needs now. I am trying to get a ballpark idea of how much it could be sold for. I could not find anything on craigslist or ebay. I don't have pictures right now but assume it is as described in excellent condition. I am in northern NJ, Morris County. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went to a Simplicity dealer and they ballparked a trade in of about $300, but they had to see it. I think that is pretty low. I have been looking on ebay and craigslist but only see some 860e's and they are around $500-700. My 960e is in perfect condition and has only been used a few times per year. Here are some pictures. I would really appreciate if someone could at least give me a ballpark $ of what it is worth so I can decide if it is worth selling. Thanks.

Tomorrow (only) you could probably get $600 for it..after Tuesday its actual value comes back into play, and IMO its worth about $500.

unfortunately search tempest, and craigslist in general, is not helpful for determining the value of anything..because you can only see sellers *asking* prices, which are meaningless..you cant see the actual selling prices.

I guess you can get an estimate, if you assume most sellers ask a reasonable price..but that's not always a reasonable assumption!
its safer to assume most prices you see on craigslist are too high, and the actual value, and actual selling price, will be less.

ebay is great for determining actual value, because you can see the actual selling prices! (search for the item in question, then click on "sold listings" on the left sidebar)..but not a lot of snowblowers are sold on ebay.

I tried searching on ebay and searchtempest but could not find any 960's. I saw some older 860's in the $500-700 range. Mine is in mint condition so I hope $500 would be the minimum. Less than $500 I would just keep it. I would take $550-600 though. Maybe I'll put it up on craigslist and see what happens.
