Subscribed thread page shows threads as unread that I have read.

Just a little glitch I noticed in the forum. When I read a thread from my subscribed threads list it goes from bold (Indicating unread posts) to regular like it should. If I leave and come back later or log on from another computer at a later time all of my subscribed threads will show with a bold title indicating unread posts.

I belong to a bunch of other forums and this is the only one that does this. Even MTF which seems to use the exact same forum software does not do this.

I don't think it's a browser issue but I use Chrome browser from my laptop, Nexus 7 tablet and work computer. My smartphone uses the stock android browser (not chrome).

Does anyone else experience this???

I've noticed the same, and I'm using Safari. At first I thought it was the settings, but I could not find that anything had been changed.

I use the new post's feature, and it operates as expected.

Garage:
MTD....2 stage(modern 8.5 HP) not my favorite
Honda HS622 TA-B - acquired at an auction- nice machine for it's size.
Toro S-140- Picked it up on trash day... it runs, sort of.
Yamaha YS 240 TB "Ricky" latest Craigslist find- on the bench now.

Well I'm sure this issue will be resolved. I must admit that for such a small forum this one is well run. I'm guessing that has a lot to do with the spill over from MTF, one of the tamest forums I have ever seen.

All posts have always done that for me no matter which way I view them. I have tried different computers and different browsers. I reported it like 3 years ago and no one else said they were experiencing it.

I finally found a work around.

After viewing all posts I would click "Quick Links" followed by "Mark All Forums Read".

And ... as of about 2 days ago that link now leads to an invalid page...
So now I am afraid to close my browser window...

Mine works fine most of the time, but every once in a while it has a brain fart. It will kick me right out. When I go back in, every post is marked as unread.

I don't use the feature, to many emails already.

But an applause for those running this site, it has been rock solid in the short time I have been here.

EDIT: oops forgot: Using IE 11 exclusively on four different machines

When you set up the auto subscribe, turn off email notification. I forget how the menu is worded but there will be an option to only recieve notifications through the site.

This happened to me last week (only once) using the same and only laptop that I use for this forum. It was fine prior to it, and it is fine now.
