Thumbs down Wow, the Richard Gearhart ad is super annoying

I know it costs money to run the site, but the ad window that I have gotten repeatedly, with the advertiser blathering on and on (every time your mouse just happens to roll across the large ad in the top middle of the page) is exceptionally annoying. I have had to close that window (and shut him up) more than a dozen times.

Ads are acceptable, but 'mouse over' pop-ups with sound are truly annoying, and the admins might want to reconsider their policy in accepting them. And yes, I assume if I cough up a membership fee that that ad would likely stop, but I feel compelled to offer my two cents..

I never see any ads popping up.
Try this if your using a computer,
Free download, works for me.
https://adblockplus.org/

Pick the browser that you use and try it.

If your using a phone like device or tap talk, whatever your on your own I can't help you there.
But if your on a computer try that.
Edit,
Unless you might have picked up some malware?
Do you run a malware program?
There is a free one of those too.

I hate shoveling SNOW!

Yup that's what I use works great. I hate those roll over pop ups as much as anyone. Just be sure to get it from the real site or from someplace where you aint gonna getcha no bugs. I like CNET and even then you have to watch you are really pushing the button on what you want and not some come on ad.

My virus program will flag the bad download sites.

I have seen some malware cause problems, but I never saw any cause pop ups.
Not to say that they are not out there, I never saw one yet.

The APB ad block works nice for me.

I had selected the Windows option (IE, Windows 7, laptop) to block pop-ups in Internet Options, but will take it a step further and look at applications for blocking ad pop-ups. Thanks for the feedback / info.
