Angry Those Nasty Pop Ups

Is anyone else getting the pop ups that appear on the bottom of posted photos?
The rest of the ads don't bother me, but the ones on the photos are a pain.

Also in the last few days, there have been these highlighted words in the middle of the posts, that take you to Lincoln cars if you touch them by accident.

Is it just me?

Thanks folks.
Larry

Got them a couple years ago. There's another thread somewhere about how to fix it. I know that since becoming a paying member I don't getany unwanted or unsolicited stuff.
Just found it. Go to SITE NEWS AND FEEDBACK and look about halfway down and it says something about posts being ads. Hope this helps.

Found it. Thanks Joe. The Administrator asked in that thread for folks to let him know when this sort of thing becomes a nuisance, so I shot him a PM.

The highlighted words are gone now, but the pop ups are still on the photos.
No, wait. Still there. Crap!

This was my issue as well. This is a sensitive subject and we must tread lightly. Site owners need to pay the bills. The photo banner and pop-up were making me crazy and as a result I ended up installing a browser add-on that we wont mention by name.

I don't mind the ads that stay out of what I'm trying to read Del. I know the forum owners have to keep the lights on and pay the bills. What I don't like is the ones that are right on top of a photo that you attach to your thread posting about the Delorean snowblower. Those and the intellitext highlighted words that take me to an ad for cars or something. Sometimes I even click on the other ones if they are of interest.

Try going here:

The first option in the last section labeled:
