Are Plastic Gears available for Briggs Starters - 699098?

I have an electric starter 699098 for a 4-stroke single stage Craftsman snow blower with a Briggs motor. It needs a new plastic gear (see attached picture). I have been able to get parts for other snow blower electric starters. I don't find any for this one. Does anyone have a source they can point me too? Thanks.

Garage
Well that hurt. I just kept running into nothing. I can't find a diagram with just the gear, only complete starters.
Have you tried to contact Briggs customer service yet ??
Can you post the blowers and engines numbers ?? I'd hope with one of those I might be able to find and exploded diagram.

Lastly . . . . .

.
Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!

Hi Kiss4aFrog,

Thanks for replying. I have not tried to contact Briggs yet. The model number for the snow blower is 536.881501. The Briggs engine model number is YBSXS.1481HE.

For what it's worth, getting a straight answer out of B&S regarding parts or anything else is like trying to tie a hair ribbon on a bolt of lightning.

You might want to check local small engine shops to see if they have what you need on the scrap heap, burned out starter with a good gear on it or check Ebay.

Work fascinates me.

Good advice skutflut. My guess is B&S would tell me it is not a serviceable unit and they don't have or won't sell me the part. Your last comment is a good idea. So does anyone have a dead starter like this that the gear is in working condition? Respond to this thread or message me. Thx!

Yeah - I don't think s it's sold separately. Check on ebay - sometimes guys part out machines that aren't worth selling (guys like me....) Don't have one right now or I would send you one......

If you find one, please let me know. I did check eBay and did not find one.

I turned the internet upside-down too and couldn't find it. Starter's an expensive lil sucker too...

What's up with the gear you have? Might be a fix...?
