Headlight replacement

I have a JD 928e and need to replace the headlight. It is oval with clear lens. The JD parts manual has part # 1732322SM. The JD dealer has part # B1737966YP as it was made by Briggs and Stratton.
I am looking for a used headlight.
Any leads would be appreciated.

First, check to make sure you have power to the headlight. In the past I thought I needed a new headlight and there was a problem with the wire to the headlight and stator. I bought the headlight and it still didn't work.

If you have power, then pull the headlight out and look for the headlight manufacturer's part number on the headlight. Snowblower maufacturers buy the headlights from lighting manufacturers. I was able to buy my replacement at an auto parts store. You may find that it's not worth the time and effort to try to find a used headlight for little if any savings.
