Honda HS 828 R side track not engaging - Help needed!

I'm snowed in big time and we have a fantastic newer Honda HS 828 snow blower. I used it successfully for a few minutes, then we ran into a huge snow bank and the right side track stopped working. The cable has very little tension on it. When I turn it over the brass metal lever moves onto the belt but there seems to be a lack of tension.

Can anyone help or offer a troubleshooting solution? Does not seem to be a belt because nothing is flapping around. It seems like a cable got disconnected.

Thanks!
Nick

You took your belt cover off and when you engage the drive lever (right side) at the handlebar, you see the drive clutch move into the belt, but there's lack of tension? Are your springs (at the belt area) intact? Is the cable attached to both the drive clutch mechanism and the lever at the handlebar?

Just the right track not working? That could be the pin in the right transmission sheared off or near sheared.

You may want to post this in the Honda section. Need to get more eyes on it.

If it is an HS828 and not an Hss928 and the right track stoped working while the left still works there is only one thing that could be which is the pin on the right side track sprocket. If the shear pin in the side transmission was broken neither track would be moving as they are designed as a solid axle.
