Old tech 7hp runs great... for 5 mins only!

Hi, I have an older Tecumseh 7 hp. on a Toro. found it not running. Drained all old gas. Removed carb, removed bowl, blew compressed air and wd 40 thru everything, especially the small holes in the nut that holds the bowl, and the area up to the emulsion tube. Older carb with idle mix screw on side, and fuel mix screw on bottom. Cleaned both. Idle mix screw at 1.25 turns, bowl bottom screw at 1.5 turns. Fires up, runs awesome.... for 5 mins, then dies. Becomes extremly hard to restart, sputters, may run for 30 seconds or so. Let it sit for 24 hours, same thing. adjusting screws only makes it worse.

My driveway cannot be done in 5 mins. what did i miss??? thanks in advance.

As scrappy said.Run it with cap a little loose and see what happens. If it still stalls might be a failing coil.

Plugged filter or gas line restriction ...or vent plugged in tank. It sounds like it goes through the gas in the bowl ,then runs out because it is using gas faster then it is replenished.
