Ariens Deluxe 28 Repower

Hi has anyone done a repower with an HF 11 or 13 HP engine

2013 ARIENS DELUXE 28 921022 BRIGGS 11.50 Heated grips, 2 LED lights, armorskid plates, Impeller kit,Mini hour tach meter, Drift cutters, Tire chains

I did a 11hp harbor freight greyhound engine with electric start on a 1983 26" large frame cub cadet (see pic in sig) back 6 or 7 years ago and it still working great. The 11hp engine is plenty for the 26" bucket and with the impeller kit it just goes through anything. This is a very heavy machine at nearly 300lbs but turns great since it has a differential.

I have used quite a few hf engines for repower projects and have not had any problems so far.

Thanks for the info i'd really like to mount the 13 hp version

yup i would go with the 13 just for good measure but i think the 11 would be fine.
