Tecumseh 4HP carb

Needing to get a new carb for a 4HP and trying to get it going before this storm hits, I DO have a adjustable carb for a 5HP. Does anyone know if they use the same carb, even if jets would be different I have a adjustable so I can tune it, just not sure if it has the same mounting bolts and too late to pull it tonight to find out so I figured I would ask.

I believe its 3-5, 6-9, 10-12hp and so on. Are all linkages the same on both?

Yes, close enough for an upcoming storm. As long as the 5hp is a Tecumseh and not Briggs

So far it seems EVERYTHING I find to buy has a Tecumseh on it, wood chipper, Yard vacuum for the girlfriend, 8 snow blowers currently at my house..... even the 2 stroke snow blower, At least a few are leaving real soon. Once I switch the carb on the Ariens 420 it's getting picked up tomorrow, The ariens 2 stroke, new carb and belt came in so should have that done and gone in less than a hours work. Thank you for the fast responce, I will put my carb on the 420 and order another for the engine I got it for. Big snow coming so gotta get these things done and delivered.

as for the linkages, yes they are the same, Only thing I thought strange is the bowl seemed smaller but I did not compare it to the others, But will make sure all matches tomorrow, It runs good but can't turn choke off and o-rings are all splitting thus I think air leaks so the reason it needs the choke. Brass float also and that will fail sooner or later so rather a new carb than change the o-ring for the price.

OH they are, You should have seen my excitement when I discovered they sell "adjustable needle" carbs for the tecumseh engines, It's all I order now, Still have 2 fixed jet ones also on the shelf but I'll find use for them.
