Question Ariens 824 924XXX 70's & 80's bucket swap?

Hello folks,

I'm wondering if someone can tell me if the bucket on a 70's era 824 is interchangeable with a mid-late 80's ST824. In particular, if the impeller/auger assembly are interchangeable.

TIA

The Earlier 924 augers should fit a ST824, Regardless if it is the Round or Square Shape. However, The "Guts" in the Round Bucket will not fit the square ones, IIRC.

Thanks for your reply Jack.

I am still waiting on the model number but I just got these images, the bucket shape is the same as my ST824 so that is optimistic.

The machine is from about 1975 from what I was told.

That's a Late 70s Bucket that Will Fit. Let us Know How things work out. I'd Replace the Auger Bearing while it's apart.
