Question atlas wont start...

cant get thrower to start,
, its getting gas, plug gets wet, its like the older mtd single stage,
has that oblong flat key,1 wire goes from the coil to the key slot, the other goes from oppside of key slot to a ground on the motor,
should i just bypass tha with a toggle switch, 1 leg to coil 1 to ground?
i was also thinking of the 'baking'trick for the coil, i have another one, its not very possible both are shot

Did you check to see if you are getting spark to the plug?

If it were me, and I had a spare coil, I would put the spare on and see what happens. You could also check the volts going into the coil, but I have now idea what voltage should be going in.

Lot easier than changing out the coil!
