Compression - two stroke

Hypothetical....

My 2004 Toro CCR 3650 has somewhat low compression (~115). I'm going to leave it for this season but this summer I was thinking of honing the cylinder and replacing the rings. Would this be pointless?

Current machines:

2016 Toro PowerMax HD 928 OHXE
2004 Toro CCR 3650
2003 Toro CCR Powerlite 3.5 HP

at 115psi i wouldn't worry about it too much if it seems to run good. you could try squirting a coupe squirts of atf into the cylinder with the piston at the top dead center when you put it away for the season. the atf might help the rings free up if they are sticking at all.
