toro 824 problems

Hey Guys hope someone can help!

I have an older toro snowblower, that will only run on full choke, then when it warms up, it will rev up and down, up and down. It wont rev evenly, any suggestions? Perfect time to ask, as we are getting 12-16" of snow today

THanks

Other folks seem to have the surging problem too, which is most likely caused by a clogged up carb. The suggestion made most often seems to be to try some Seafoam mixed in the gas to see it that clears the problem.

Yup. Classic plugged carb.Seems to happan more with snowblowers then mowers becosue the gas seems to go bad, and turn to varnash faster in the summer down time, then durning the winter when mowers sit. I havent used the seafoam yet, but Im going to try it, but sounds like your due for a carb rebuild, or replacement.
