A GREAT article about 2 cycle oils and Why you should use TCW3 for Toros

The Late Great Oil Debate

This is a great article.

Anyone who has a Toro 2 cycle snowblower or any 2 cycle that requires TCW3, needs to use only TCW3! And why you can not use TCW3 in a non TCW3 machine. This article explains it all.

The short of it is 2 cycle oil has ash in it and a 2 cycle snowblower runs as high as 400 F burning the ash away. A Toro 2 cycle snowblower runs closer to 300 F. TCW3, which is an ashless 2 cycle oil is designed not to leave ash behind at the lower temperature.
