cleaning galv bolts

I have a set of nuts, and bolts for the wheel weights for my JD rider, and they're beginning to show their age. Is there a way to clean up the threads with out doing to much damage to the galvanizing?

If "show their age" is the same as "running out of sacrificial plating", then no. Bolts are cheap. Replace, and buy another X years of corrosion-free duty.

Husqy ST227P for 2015 snow season.

I love my snowblower. Every beat of it's little heart is one mine won't have to take.
